OASIS members and other interested parties: OASIS is pleased to announce that Service Metadata Publishing (SMP) V1.0 and Business Document Metadata Service Location V1.0 from the OASIS Business Document Exchange (BDXR) TC have been approved by the membership as OASIS Standards [1]. These ballots were the first to be held under OASIS's new call for consent procedure [2]. Under this procedure, consent is assumed unless eligible voters register valid objections. In the ballots, Service Metadata Publishing (SMP) V1.0 received 13 affirmative consents, Business Document Metadata Service Location V1.0 received 12, and neither candidate received any objections. Therefore they have passed. TC Administration will now prepare and publish the final OASIS Standard and notify you when it is available.
