Fwd: Email sent to voters re: [bdxr] Groups - Ballot closed: "Approve submitting Service Metadata Publishing (SMP) Version 2.0 CS02 as a Candidate OASIS Standard"
Members of the BDXR TC,
Congratulations. Your Special Majority Vote to approve submitting SMP V2.0 CS02 as a candidate for OASIS Standard has closed and passed. TC Admin will now start the public review. TC Admin JIRA ticket https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/TCADMIN-3825 has been opened to track the work.
In keeping with our new process, we will not republish an identical copy labelled COS01 for the review but rather will add a public review metadata file to the CS02 directory flagging it as a candidate and run the PR on CS02 directly. This means a much shorter turn around so you can expect the review to launch first thing next week.
Thanks & let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
/chet

Description
Service Metadata Publishing (SMP)
Version 2.0 [1] was approved as a Committee Specification on 16 January 2020. The TC has received 4 Statements of Use from IBM, Philip Helger, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and Efact[2]. Do you now approve submitting this Committee Specification to the OASIS membership for consideration as a candidate for OASIS Standard?
Approving this ballot will result in a 60-day public review after which, if no comments are received, the COS will be submitted to a membership-wide call for consent. If comments are received, the TC will be asked to vote by Special Majority Ballot on whether to continue to the membership vote. This is explained in TC Process section 3.4.2, Public Review of a Candidate OASIS Standard [3].
This ballot requires a Special Majority Vote [4]. The TC roster currently lists 7 voting members. In order to pass, at least 5 (2/3 x 7) members have to vote Yes and no more than 1 (1/4 x 7) members may vote No.
