To summarize, your proposals are:

- ditch printchar
- define color conflicts as innermost
definition wins 
(still need a decision on what to do
if a single element has two flags - what is the order of processing on
checking attributes and values? should be defined in detail, even if it
is an edge case)
- adopt the list of colors from the
CSS spec
