Hi Tarun and Kristen,

  Kris is correct - no changes can be made to a specification at any level of approval. You must create a new working draft with the changes and then approve it up through the various stages. My only interjection is that this isn't a new rule; it's been in place since at least 2005.

  That said, it may be worth noting on the TC's public page that an errata is planned, and maybe a wiki page that will contain a list of items identified or some other method.

Can this be somehow done for DITA 1.2 itself. I was thinking so because, it is an issue of spec itself not following the standard.

It�s just a small change in the spec source files only. No change in DTD/Schema. I am not sure but may be we can also leave the output spec (i.e. PDF, HTML, etc) untouched.
