Ralph, Right, but if I'm not mistaken, the receipient sends a signed receipt before it receives the original signed digest. The distinction is that while the process involves signatures in both directions, the implementation details are such that from the perspective of the MSH, the original message is *not* signed and the receipt (ack) *is* signed.
