Document Description: At this March 16, 2010 meeting of the OASIS Infrastructure Subcommittee, Dave Ellis presented and summarized his slides on Policy Vectors for Interoperability. Dave pointed out that the content space for the EDXL Distribution Element (DE) can be represented as a Venn diagram with overlapping policies. The appropriate routing can be managed by appropriate use of the EDXL DE keyword elements, used to identify the characteristics of the message, such as which parts of the message content are law enforcement (LE) sensitive. The members also briefly discussed the issue of decryption during routing and the need to publish the DE Schema.
