Per action item of last meeting, I drafted some simple thoughts on a "process" for achieving the RIM goals and deliverables. We can discuss at today's meeting. Document Description: This document describes a process by which the Emergency Management Technical Committee can achieve its goal to have a Reference Information Model which can be used to guide the development of future standards, including the capture and reuse of components and lessons learned from the development of previous standards. The document describes the suggested three primary RIM deliverables (EM Ontology, Common Types Repository and Specification, Best Practices Guide) and the recommendation that the RIM Subcommittee utilize a submission process to support the creation and reuse of common components.
