I would suggest that the StC consider sponsoring this event for 5K, see
benefits below. The EI MS budget is in good shape (25+K) and this funding
will increase membership in the MS and the technical committee. I would
like to set a regular StC meeting for Monday or Tuesday of next week but
I can set up a ballot for this expenditure today if you agree. Also, I
need to begin the election cycle on Monday, 15 September to fill the two
vacating StC seats (Tracy and David), so watch for the email on
Monday.
