Schemas and Conformance
Tonight (and it is too late on the East Coast for me to indulge in this work) I think
The many Event-type objects have a choice of a [vcalendar] or a [schedule]
[ vcalendar] uses WS-Calendar.intervals and has the full flexibility defined therein
[schedule] uses EnergyInterop.Intervals with their constrained expression as in ED’s note
A section in Conformance will explain how to map.transform one sort of interval into the other
Both kinds of Intervals will accept the same sorts of Inheritance from the “acting as gluons” eventBase or Standard Terms
Of course, it is always possible that a conforming profile may make a normative choice as to which one to use.
“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” – George Bernard Shaw.
