WSDL version question

As a question, was WS-I B 2.0 developed before or after 2.0? The WSDL version supported by the WS-I BP 2.0 (and by 1.2) is WSDL 1.1. The WSDL documents in wd 36 use the http://www.w3.org/ns/wsdl namespace which is the namespace of version 2.0 of WSDL rather than the WSDL 1.1 namespace, http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/ . Would it not make sense to deliver WSDLs in the interoperable version covered by the WS-I profile that the EI specification references? Pim
