I may be wrong but I thought they were pretty clear about our level of involvement. It seemed that we could be as involved as we wanted to be. I think we perceived that NIST was married to their typical academic crowd but actually the opposite is true, ergo, the focal shift to expand audience and programme to business folks and policy makers, and that was the exact reason the wanted to engage OASIS. I think, as they admitted, that they lacked diversity (depth) in submissions so they wanted us to broaden the scope and focus which is easier for me to do with our OASIS outreach. The idea of bringing together technologists, policy makers and business leaders seem like a natural forward for us. I've never been a fan of multiple tracks (as you isolate technology creators from folks that set policy and influence usage) but some breakouts make sense. I'd like to invite some of the presenters (end users with use cases) that presented at Concordia. I think we have some nice options here to collaborate with ITU, Concordia, OASIS and NIST. Just my thoughts. Dee
