This email is the California AOC's response to John Greacen's poll of the EFTC. We, Tom Smith and I, pretty much share John's view that the transcript standard is indeed needed; however, we believe (as Robin Gibson had pointed out) that the EFTC already has too much to do given the limited size of the current membership. So, in order to support the EFTC taking on transcripts we propose the following three conditions: 1. John agrees to handle the workload; 2. A subcommittee chair be identified prior to making the decision to take on transcripts; and 3. A few people volunteer for the subcommittee prior to making the decision to take on transcripts.
