The TC Process (at 
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.php#closing) says that I 
*may* close an inactive TC, and Transcripts certainly qualifies under 
the definition. My preference is to have an active TC rather than a 
closed one, but if the TC is not active then it should be closed. If 
there's a way to reactivate the TC I would prefer to see this happen.

Note that Eddie is not interested in being the chair; what started this 
discussion was his request to me to remove him as chair from the TC 
roster. The TC Process (at 
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.php#chairs) requires that 
TC have a chair. So the first step for reactivation would be to find a 
new chair, then call a meeting and get this things going again.

I'm happy to wait just a while longer to see what the steering committee 
would like to do about this. Could this be addressed at the next SC meeting?
