I have briefly reviewed your schemas and documentation and think EDRM might benefit from the increased visibility and participation you will get by vetting your specifications through a recognized standards body. The LegalXML Member Section within OASIS has defined XML standards for the exchange of legal data including court filing and service, eContracts, eNotary, Integrated Justice, and others. While we do not yet have a committee focused on e-discovery, I think the potential for collaboration is clear. Within the ECF TC, we have found the NIEM to be a very useful vocabulary/data model for building exchange schemas, particularly in the justice domain. NIEM is especially useful for describing documents since it incorporates metadata from Dublin Core.
