According to the ABNF rule "time" Edm.Time is a xs:duration, see http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#duration.
This is supported by the definition of the years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds functions in the URL Conventions contribution, the OSP OData specification http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd541295(v=prot.10) and the current implementations.
