According to the ODF 1.2 the style:font-pitch is usable in the <style:font-face>. However according to OpenDocument-v1.2-cs01-schema.rng it is 
also allowed in <style:text-properties>

Test showed that some files I have from OpenOffice/LibreOffice add the font-pitch to the style:text:properties
