Subject: Groups - SDD TC Weekly Teleconference modified
SEVERAL IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THIS WEEK'S CALL:
- The Committee Draft ballot passed with 12 "Yes" votes, but with a few
comments.
- Hence, we will review the few substantive comments this week and accept
or reject them (Julia will also produce a version of the spec that
incorporates only editorial and formatting comments that can be reviewed by
interested reviewers; we won't go over each editorial/formatting change).
- A Web conference has been set up so that we can review comments and
accept/reject changes in real time during the call. See information at end
of agenda for Web conference details. IF YOU HAVEN'T JOINED ONE OF THESE
WEB CONFERENCES IN THE PAST, YOU'LL NEED TO ENSURE THAT YOUR SYSTEM IS
PREPPED FOR THE WEB CONFERENCE. PLEASE DO THIS WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE CALL
(instructions are in the Web conference details at the end of the
agenda).
- Following review of comments and accepting any new changes, we need to
vote on the result as the "final final" Committee Draft. We can do this
during the conference call, but it still requires a full majority vote, so
we'll do a roll call vote AND IT'S IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE EVERYONE IN
ATTENDANCE DURING THE CALL so that we can achieve a valid and meaningful
vote.
- If the "final final" Committee Draft vote passes, we'll need a motion,
second and vote to open the Public Review ballot for submitting the "final
final" specification and schema for Public Review.
- I hope/expect that we can complete the call in the normally scheduled
1-hour time frame and not need to extend into the second hour. Time
permitting, we also can discuss any updates on the Starter Profile,
Examples and Primer.
