As a member of the WS-Security authoring group, the OASIS Security Services
TC asks you to convey our interest in seeing WS-Security technical
specifications become recognized standards endorsed by standards
organizations. To that end, the Security Services TC has authorized the
co-chairs to offer text supporting the complementary nature of WS-Security
in the event that WS-Security is in fact moved for standardization at an
organization such as OASIS.

We propose supportive text along the following model:

    "The Oasis Security Services TC views the WS-Security technical
specification as complementary to SAML, and intends to use WS-Security in
specifying the use of SAML for adding security features to SOAP messages."

Should the authoring group wish to use this endorsement - or a similar
construction, please let us know. The authoring group may choose to use this
text as a quote from the Security Services TC co-chairs.
