MINUTES OF UBL-TRANSPORT SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING

0900 - 1030 (Singapore time) WEDNESDAY 02 NOVEMBER 2005

Teleconference

ATTENDANCE:

Kama (UBL-TSC Chairperson, CrimsonLogic)

Tim McGrath (UBL Vice-Chair)

Andrew Schoka (Information Systems Engineer (US))

Mike Onder - Team Leader Freight Technology & Operations (USDOT-Federal Highway Administration)

ISSUES DISCUSSED:

1. Reviewed last meetings minutes and action items.
2. Reviewed COML data model.
3. Tim updated the TSC that for some items like Remarks in Endorsement class might need to have multilingual support, this can be achieved through the use of the Text datatype as it supports additional attributes like language and locale.
4. Tim mentioned that TSC need to submit its work to UBL TC on the week of 7 November 05.
5. Kama commented that CrimsonLogic will try to complete the additional 3 documents (Freight Invoice, Packnig List, Transport Instruction) by end November 05. Tim mentioned that depending on the overall progress, we may be able to include it for the public review.
5. TSC will review the documents send by CY and discuss again on next meeting on the 7th November 2005

AOB :

1. Data model submitted to the list would be preferred to be accompanied with a JPG version of the data model together with the EAP file.
2. Tim has informed TSC that UBL has been invited to UNCEFACT meeting at Vancouver at March 2006, and would like to know who in TSC would be interested and available to be at at this meeting.

ACTION ITEMS:

1. CY to discuss with Ralph & Thomas on the additional requirements on country in DTTN data model
2. Complete/fine-tune data model to include multiplicity of attributes to be added into data model.
3. CrimsonLogic will check whether there is a need to include an origin of region.
4. Look through excel file sent by CY for discussion on 07th Nov.
5. TSC members need to revert by the end of November 05 if they can attend the UN/CEFACT meeting
