Note to self on Schemas

If you cut and paste an URN that has been posted into a socially aware web site that has converted :P into a smiley directly into a schema, you get a legal but very odd character string that causes many odd things to happen during schema processing. Example below: urn:ietf arams:xml:ns:icalendar-2.0 tc “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it” -- Upton Sinclair.
