period for Steering Committee seats opens now (on September 1st).
Please nominate interested parties or
yourself if you deem the AMQP member section helpful for the work in the
AMQP related technical commitees.
If none is nominated, the Member Section
may be dissolved by the OASIS Board of Directors due to no longer satisfying
the minimum requirement of 3 members on its Steering Committee (showing
waning interest in the Member Section).
I do not know who is currently the chair
of the Steering Committee since the roster seems not to be maintained for
some time now (should be done by the StC chair in charge).
(it lists Laurie and myself as chair
resp. member despite our retirement from the StC with the expiration of
our term last year)

the AMQP Member Section Steering Committee
has elected representatives that require your review this year.
There are seven seats eligible for nomination--
5 vacant seats and two shown below as expiring in 2016.
Nominations for these seats start on September
1 and will close on 15 September. NOTE the new policy does not
provide for the nomination period to be extended--all nominations MUST
be received in this period.

Nominations must be accepted by the nominee,

are encouraged to share some background information to help the voters
know who they are.
If there are more than seven nominations
voting will take place 16-30 September via a closed ballot. Otherwise,
the candidates are automatically selected.
