AMQP Member Section Steering Committee Election Now Open

OASIS AMQP MS Members,  Five seats serving one-year terms on the OASIS Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP)

Member Section (MS) [1] Steering Committee, are open for election; voting closes at 5:00 PM EDT on 7 October 2011.  Each AMQP MS Supporting Entity has one Qualified Elector who casts the single vote on behalf of his/her organization. Unless otherwise designated, the organization's Primary Representative will serve as the Qualified Elector. The Primary Representative may defer the voting member role to another employee member by sending an email to: ; any such changes should be in place before the ballot is cast.  The five new Steering Committee members will be selected by the MS Qualified Electors, using the Single Transferable Voting (STV) process - Scottish Method [2]. STV considers each voter's ranked preference for candidates, in order to more accurately reflect the wishes of the electorate. Results will be announced immediately after they are tabulated and confirmed.  Cast your vote by email to  -- please specify 'AMQP MS StC election' in your email. Your message should contain your ranked preference for the candidates.
