MEETING MINUTES OF BDXR TC MEETING 7 JUNE 2017

NEW TC PROCESS


  A new TC Process has been announced and shared with TC members:

  Kenneth asserted that submitting the TC’s two Candidate OASIS Standards (BDXL and SMP) under the new TC Process would significantly improve the approval process as well as reduce the workload of the TC during
  the membership vote.


  Ken asked if there’s a risk that the new OASIS Standard approval process could potentially reduce the quality of the work products approved as OASIS Standards. Kenneth said that he believes that this would not
  be the case, as work products already go through several public reviews as well as scrutiny by the OASIS Technical Advisory Board on their way to becoming Candidate OASIS Standards, and it’s uncertain whether OASIS members currently perform such technical
  review before deciding on a vote.


  It was agreed to request that BDXL and SMP Candidate OASIS Standards be submitted to the OASIS membership under the new TC Process, which is expected to become effective from July 1.



SMP 1.0 COMMENTS, REVIEW OF RESPONSE


  Kenneth had drafted responses for comments 1, 2 and 4. Sander to draft a response for comment 3.
