Re: [camp] Next Steps for CAMP 1.2 [Was: Re: [camp] Invitation to comment on Cloud Application Management for Platforms Version 1.2 - ends January 2]
I neglected to schedule a vote on a vote (that's part of the
OASIS process). I.e., the TC needs to vote to have the TCAdmin
schedule a special majority vote. I just did that; and you must
have received notification regarding that vote. The ballot closes
on 11th, please vote before that.
Once the vote for schedule a vote closes, assuming it passes,
I'll request the TC admin to schedule a sp. majority vote. I.e.,
there are two more hurdles before the spec can be a committee
specification.
Thanks.

I have asked the TC admin to initial a special majority vote
electronic ballot for this (as is required by the process).
Please keep an eye out for the ballot email when it is
initiated and vote.
Thanks.

I would like to solicit your thoughts on the next steps.
My suggestion is that since there were no comments received
we should move this spec to the next stage: Committee
Specification. This will allow us to replace the existing
version 1.1 (which has a Committee Specification status),
which we all believe is outdated.
If I don't receive any comments pushing back on this plan by
EOB 2018-02-06, I'll initiate an electronic ballot for this.
Thanks.

OASIS members and other interested parties,
We are pleased to announce that Cloud Application
Management for Platforms Version 1.2 from the OASIS
Cloud Application Management for Platforms (CAMP) TC
[1] is now available for public review and comment.
This is the second public review for Version 1.2. CAMP
Version 1.1 is an OASIS Committee Specification.
Cloud Application Management for Platforms Version
1.2 defines the artifacts and APIs that need to be
offered by a Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud to
manage the building, running, administration,
monitoring and patching of applications in the cloud.
Its purpose is to enable interoperability among
self-service interfaces to PaaS clouds by defining
artifacts and formats that can be used with any
conforming cloud and enable independent vendors to
create tools and services that interact with any
conforming cloud using the defined interfaces. Cloud
vendors can use these interfaces to develop new PaaS
offerings that will interact with independently
developed tools and components.
