(discussion about intra-picture linking wasn't related to
mapping; it was related to the fact that a plain "newHighlight"
behavior is only unambiguous in the 2.0 spec with intra-picture linking,
because it has navigation behavior "none", and it is
principally useful for "cumulative" behaviors, which can only
happen with intra-picture links.)

Also ... "Need to address this by June when auto-updates are done by
Microsoft."  -- I think Benoit indicated that auto-updates
would start as soon as mid-April.  (And his most recent article
pointer seems to indicate that it has already been shipping, in new IE7
releases, as well as in WinXP SP2 updates.)  I.e., it is essentially
here now, depending on your system and how it is updated.
