Proposed OpenDocument Template Revision
[I tried posting this to the tc-editors list, but it bounced, so
apologies for the wider distribution. Please forward as appropriate.]

I've had problems recently with the current (v3.1) OpenDocument
template found at http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/ .
Most notably, section numbering doesn't work for more than the first
2 levels, and appendix numbering for only the first level. Here is
an unofficial update that fixes this, and few other things:

* Enabled Section (Outline) Numbering for Heading styles 3-9.
* Added hyperlinks to Table of Contents entries.
* Adjusted Appendix style, so that subsections are numbered and
appear in Table of Contents, also with hyperlinks. Removed old
  Appendix Header styles.
* Inserted RevisionDate Field, to keep title page date and footer date in sync.
* Removed hundreds of unused WW* and other paragraph and numbering styles.
* Reintroduced Revision History table template.
* Enabled Line Numbering.

Find my revision at
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/24851/OASISSpecificationTemplateV3.1-pete.ott
and try it out. If it seems to be an improvement, perhaps Mary could
post it as v3.2.

(Also note that it is incorrectly listed on the templates page as
"Open Office". "OpenOffice.org" is an application suite that many
of us use--not the file format itself, which is "OpenDocument".)
