cacheability in presence of extension request headers
-----------------------------------------------------

                 Key: CMIS-24
                 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-24
Project: OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services TC
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: REST/AtomPub Binding
            Reporter: Julian Reschke
            Assignee: Al Brown

The spec should note that, whenever extension headers are used (in contrast to query parameters), the response needs to include a "Vary" header, so that proxies will not serve the wrong response.

(Varying the response for a GET based on request headers simply is a form of content negotation, and the implications for intermediaries need to be properly discussed).
