We can submit the registration request as  provisional  or  permanent . The challenge is that in order to submit it as  permanent  we will need to show some additional level of proof on the usage. If we submit the registration as  provisional ,  then it can be changed to  permanent  later (i.e., early next year). I believe that to accelerate the request and registration, we should request the registration as  provisional  for now and then change it to  permanent  in early next year.

Since we are not meeting in December, I would like to present the following motion:

I, Omar Santos, move to submit the CSAF IANA registration for .well-known values as  provisional , then it can be changed to  permanent  later (i.e., early next year).
