Committee members who have sent Robert Anderson comments about the DITA 1.2 Language Specification, let Gershon know. He will update the review page.
Adoption TC members need to review the list (sign-up sheet for 1.2 feature articles) and make sure that it is correct. They should sign up if they have not already done so (and have the time and inclination to do this work).
Adoption TC members should review the SWOT analysis with business focus. Adoption TC members also should add comments to the Author and IT pages.
Adoption TC members should review both documents. We will discuss the topic about improved link management on 8 December 2008. We will discuss the article about the DITA 1.2 task model on 5 January 2009.

ITEM: Discuss David Hollis's review of the DITA language specification sections.
Clear up any misconceptions about the nature of the spec.
RECURRING ITEM: Call for users of DITA 1.2
OASIS needs a list of organizations that intend to use one or more DITA 1.2 features
RECURRING ITEM: Continue defining the TC activities and roadmap for 2009.
Add to the SWOT analysis wiki, which we will turn into a best practice document
Work with the Matthew Varghese on use cases for DITA. Add to the wiki on this subject
Review JoAnn's article on the 1.2 specification and Kristen's page (moved from the DITA TC to the Adoption TC)
Review the proposed changes for the dita.xml.org on the wiki.
Discuss plans for assisting the DITA TC with the documentation for the multiple packages for DITA 1.2.
We now have multiple wiki pages for the issues that we are discussing. Several of these should lead to best practice documents.

Topics treated:
* Gershon sent out a list of categories to use I Kavi. Item completed.
* New ACTION ITEM: Gershon to move action items to lower priority in the ongoing agenda.
* Recurring ITEM: Gershon remembered everybody to review standards sections
* Kris created a call for users page for item #9. ITEM completed
* ITEM 10: Gershon needs to get back to Mary on the links connecting TCs. Item pending
* Next meeting will be on January 5th
* Kris said that some people contacted her for the new Adoption Focus Area sub-committee. Only Kris and Su-Laine signed up so far. They still need to figure out the meeting schedule. Gershon plans to join the subcommittee too.
* Kris would like to have another category in Kavi for review of DITA 2.0. New ACTION ITEM: All TC members to review the list of categories.
* Recurring ITEM: Gershon invited everybody to review JoAnn's article. This will be discussed in January.
* Sowmya Kannan uploaded a new document (Keyref Feature Overview) and Gershon asked everybody to review it. Sownya did not join the call, so her article will be discussed in a future meeting.
* Su-Laine asked what format to use when writing documents to be delivered by the TC. Gershon suggested to use Word and then convert it to DITA. If the documents are intended to be published as TC deliverables, the author needs to use the OASIS template. If the documents are intended to be published at the Focus Area, there isn't yet an official template.
* Don said that there isn't a timeframe for the release of next DITA version yet. There is content that needs to be reviewed and discussed.
