OASIS needs a list of organizations that intend to use one or more DITA 1.2 features
RECURRING ITEM: Continue defining the TC activities and roadmap for 2009.
Add to the SWOT analysis wiki, which we will turn into a best practice document
Work with the Matthew Varghese on use cases for DITA. Add to the wiki on this subject
Review JoAnn's article on the 1.2 specification and Kristen's page (moved from the DITA TC to the Adoption TC)
Review the proposed changes for the dita.xml.org on the wiki.
Discuss plans for assisting the DITA TC with the documentation for the multiple packages for DITA 1.2.
We now have multiple wiki pages for the issues that we are discussing. Several of these should lead to best practice documents.

Committee members who have sent Robert Anderson comments about the DITA 1.2 Language Specification, let Gershon know. He will update the review page.

Consider the formation of informal subcommittees to work on specific tasks. The only formal SC being formed is the editorial board for dita.xml.org

Present: David Hollis, Briana Wherry, Gershon Joseph, Steve Studer, Tim Grantham, Su-Laine Yeo, Deb Bissantz, Rodolfo Raya, Troy Klukewich, Joe Gelb, Sowmya Kannan, Scott Tsao
Regrets: Robin Sloan, Mathew Varghese, Frank Miller
Gershon moved to accept previous minutes, David seconded. Minutes approved.
Troy mentioned that the DITA Learning and Training TC has been working on a getting a realistic sample set. Sowmya, Troy and Briana are interested in participating in this work. Troy will let the Learning and Training group know that there is a group of members from thi TC interested in collaborating.
Su-Laine informed that the Focus Area sub-committee has not had its first meeting yet.
ACTION ITEM: Gershon to contact Kris about getting the group activities started.
Gershon reminded all members that volunteered to review DITA 1.2 to update the wiki page at http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/Draft_DITA_1.2_Specification_Review_Assignments or contact him for keeping it up to date.
Gershon is migrating review tracking to an Excel sheet that he will make available.
Gershon invited everyone to contribute articles about DITA 1.2. Su-Laine commented that as DITA 1.2 would be released late in this year, we could focus in writing about current version of DITA because there is a need for that now. Most people will be using DITA 1.1 in the next year or so.
ACTION ITEM: Rodolfo or Gershon to create a wiki page for articles about DITA 1.1
Sowmya did not receive additional feedback on the second draft of her article. It will be discussed on next week's meeting, before packaging it as an official OASIS white paper.
All members are encouraged to review the SWOT analysis pages at the wiki, in preparation for publishing it as a white paper.
