Minutes:
L&T Workgroup Minutes 7 May 2009
* Reviewed working milestones (will be brought forward).
* Reviewed preliminary criteria for selecting courses (will be brought forward).
* Discussed general observations about available material. Troy feels it is unlikely that we will find one course to handle video, instructor-led, and online versions. We may ultimately need two samples, one for video and one for non-video.
* Open: How long should the course/s be? Troy is concerned that too large a course would require a lot of conversion work.
* Chuck and Troy are available to help with any scripting work that would speed conversion.
* Action: All, to review NASA, Curriki, and MIT materials for potential samples (links are included in the agenda).
* Action: Troy and John to verify open courseware licenses with OASIS.
* Action: Chuck to investigate Open Courseware Consortium for possible available schema/DTDs (link included in the agenda), could speed conversion, also an interest point for comparison with the L&T schemas.
* The workgroup will provide interim updates at the next L&T SC meeting.
