Being more confused about fn would be a crime

Dear Lightweight DITA SC people,

I adopt the teenager approach here and report that I am soooo confused about the use of fn in XDITA.

Now that it is not allowed inside body... where does it go? I tried to recreate the 1.3 example of "I like pets. <fn id="reuse-fn">This is the name of an animal.</fn>" and of course it didn't work.

I am working on updating our samples to have a robust and detailed LwDITA topic collection.

How should I use fn now?
