I wouldn't (and didn't) put it that way.

In fact, I definitely want DITAArchVersion attribute on the 
dita element (12052) regardless of what we do about the class 
attribute on the dita element (12049), which is why I wanted 
to keep the two issues separate.  

(btw, there has been some email followup on this topic since 
the last telcon.)
