Reasons to not ship XSDs We cannot generate them automatically from the RNG.
Reasons to ship XSDs Editors such as Xopus/SDL Content Editor, XEditor, FontoXML use them.
Of course, SDL reworks the XSDs, so the argument is less compelling there.
