DOCBOOK-APPS: DocBook --> HTML Help

Has anyone gotten the latest XSL stylesheet for HTML help to work? I'm a bit
confused as to how the base.dir is to be specified; my attempts to put it
into the stylesheet as a variable or parameter have had no positive result.
I have a few simple DocBook-formatted XML's I'd like to convert to HTML Help
(two with RefLists) and I'm not really clear on how to proceed.
