DOCBOOK-APPS: DocBook complains that <graphic ... has no alignattribute ...

Hi,

I think that I am using DocBook 4.1, and tried using 


<graphic ... align="left">

but Jade (OpenJade 1.3) complains that <graphic ...> does not have an align
attribute ...

Does anyone know why this might be the case?
