DOCBOOK-APPS: Can XSLT processor use archives?

Hi,

This question might be better of sent to xalanj list but I'll give a shot
here.

Is it possible for xslt processor, like Xalan2.0 to fetch xsl files from
docbook distrubution zip archive directly?  

Has anyone done this?  Trax API seems to leave hooks for custom made URI
resolvers (1).
