DOCBOOK-APPS: Background image in JadeTeX ?

I can't seem to find a way to add a background image to a printed
document in the DSSSL standard.  Did someone already managed to do
this ?

A quick look at the problem lets me think this would "just" require to
define a DSSSL extension, and implement it in (Open)Jade and JadeTeX.
Does anyone have experience in deesigning DSSSL extensions ?
