RE: DOCBOOK-APPS: extension for saxon 6.4.3 broken?

Would this also be the cause of the error below?

Error
  java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: d
Transformation failed: run-time errors were reported

I just installed docbook_xsl.141 and am running Saxon (6.4.3) for the first
time - grasping at straws, obviously.
My classpath includes saxon.jar and saxon64.jar.
