DOCBOOK-APPS: Re: Formatting segmentedlist element as a "table"

I received an automated reply via sourceforge yesterday saying that this
feature request had been closed (no reason was given). Does this mean that
the feature (of rendering a segmentedlist as a table) is about to appear
or that the feature has "quietly" been dropped altogether?

The specific feature is #553168.
