DOCBOOK-APPS: Blank page between copyright and contents

I've got a problem with an unwanted blank page being generated beteen the copyright
page, and the contents page. The layout is this:

title page
copyright page
blank
contents page
chapter
...

Searching the list has presented some sgml style fixes, but I'm working with
XSL. Any tips re how to turn this spare page off?
