You should definitely go with XML unless you have a large collection of
existing SGML you must handle.
The DocBook XSL stylesheets produce HTML that is well suited to styling with
CSS. See this reference to get started:

Other chapters have information about setting up processing tools.

I am new to DocBook and I have been familiarizing myself
with it recently.
What I wish to do with my DocBook documents is generate some
HTML (although I will be making RTF and PDF later, which is
why I chose DocBook...), but I would like it to be really
simple and customized to my CSS, like the example I found at

What would be best for me to use ? DocBook SGML or DocBook
XML ? And then, how do I generate the HTML the way I
described it above ?
As well, my documents will be in two languages, any advice
other than changing lang ?
