Referencing figures withouth displaying their title

Hello,

I am referncing figures with <xref linkend="figureID"/> which results, using the FO-stylsheet, in something  
like
	Figure 1.2, "title of figure"
I would rather have only the number of the figure without the title. What would I have to do?
