That's not a problem for DocBook solve.  DocBook doesn't define 
presentation details like trim marks.

I presume you're using XSL-FO as an intermediary between DocBook and 
your print output format.  If so, you can either add something to the 
XSL-FO stylesheets to add these trim marks, or ask the people who made 
your XSL-FO processor to add it as an optional feature.
