There is a set of XSL stylesheets that Steve Ball wrote to convert DocBook
to WordML and back in the DocBook's SourceForge project CVS tree (under
xsl/wordml). It handles a useful subset of DocBook tags, and might make a
good start for your project if you want to pursue the XSLT route.
