RE: [docbook-apps] weird characters website.database.xml file-RESOLVED

I was digging around, and I thought maybe it was because I had weird
charcters in my xml, but it seems to be related to the characters found in
the common/en.xml:

“%t” which I guess are supposed to be smart quotes
  and this which I have no idea what this is.

Hi.

when generating the database.xml file, we get a bunch of characters like
"榼URoe" in it.  Any idea where these may be coming from?

I'm using saxon 6.5.3.
