RE: [docbook-apps] Docbook equiv to DITA <syntaxdiagram>

The DocBook elements for representing syntax tend to be rendered using Modified BNF (more like Bars and Braces)
rather than the "railroad track" you mentioned, but they code the same information and could be rendered either 
way.

DocBook has several specialized elements ending with *synopsis (for commands, function calls etc.), and one very general named synopsis.
