xref when page number prefixes are enabled

Hi,

My page numbering is prefixed by the chapter number as so
1-1
1-2
1-3
1-4

When I use xref the page number is shown as
See the section called "bla bla", [2]

when it should show as
See the section called "bla bla", [1-2]

Is there some nice way to fix this? A hint will do.
