Problem with links

Hello,

I have an xml book and a chapter. In the book i refer to the chapter like this &chap; I get to conntent to that xml file in the book but when i  use a link in the chapter like this
<link xl:href="http://www.msn.com" > http://www.msn.com	</link>
the link points to the book but when i use the link in the book i get redirected to the website but not in the chapter?
Does anyone know how to solve this?
