low priority: why doesn't this schema customization layer work? - instead I have to put the changes directly in the schema

I made some modifications to fix inlineequation and to allow a
combination of <mathphrase>, <(inline)mediaobject> and <mml:*> objects
inside of equations.

Here is the layer:

It fails in oXygen with:
the message 'conflicting ID-types for attribute "linkend" of element
"inlineequation" ' in docbook.rng on line 83, where line 83 is the
beginning of the any element definition.


Here is the (functioning) dobook.rng source edited to produce the same
intended effect as the customization layer.
